Prim. Darina Bujalkova, M.D.
MUDr. Bujalková graduated from the Komenský (Comenius) University Medical Faculty in Martin in the field of general medicine. After a three-year practice as a house officer at the Eye Clinic of the Hospital in Banská Bystrica, she gained her first certificate in the field of ophthalmology. In 1991 she began working at the Hospital Eye Clinic and IPVZ in Bratislava where she worked as an independent out-patient doctor and assistant. It was here that she also gained her second certificate in the field of ophthalmology.
She has worked for the last 10 years at the Charles University Teaching University Eye Clinic in Prague as an outpatient doctor with a second medical certification and specialises in eyelid plastic surgery. Since 2000 she has also been working as an assistant at the IPVZ Department of Ophthalmology at the Charles University Teaching Hospital Eye Clinic in Prague and specialises in the pre-certification preparation of doctors.
In 2001 she gained a licence to work as a consultant – head physician in a medical establishment in the field of ophthalmology. She is a member of the Czech Medical Chamber, Czech Society of Ophthalmology and the Czech Medical Association of J.E. Purkyně.
