Sylvie Saifrtova was born and grew up in Litomerice. She graduated from Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague, where she commenced doctor in the field of dentistry in 2000. She gained the attestation of the first degree in 2002 and specialism Orthodontics attestation in 2006.

Dr. Sylvie's clinical practice commenced at the Stomatological Clinic of First Medical Faculty of Charles University and General Faculty Hospital in Prague. From 2003 she continued to act there at the Department of Orthodontics. Currently dr. Sylvie acts as a private dentist as well as a specialized orthodontic consultant in private stomatological practices in Prague, oriented on foreign clientele. She regularly enriches her experience within foreign stays (e.g. USA, Alabama 2006) and participation in international congresses (e.g. the Netherlands, Amsterdam 2005).

Dr. Sylvie is a member of Czech Orthodontic Society and European Orthodontic Society. Her academic career is rich in successful lecturing and publication activities. Her lecture “How Accurate is Videoimaging?” was evaluated the best on Orthodontic Society congress in the young authors' section in 2006. Also her poster “Uprighting of Mesially Inelined and Impacted Lower Second Molar-Usage of Osteosynthetic Screw as an Anchorage Implant” was evaluated best there.
