Jiri Zahlava, M.D., PhD.
He graduated from the Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague in 1995. After graduation from university he started working at the 1st Department of Ophthalmology of the General Teaching Hospital in Prague. He graduated from level I postgraduate specialty training in ophthalmology in 1998 and level II postgraduate specialty training in ophthalmology in 2002. He participated in the teaching of medical university students. While at the Department of Ophthalmology, he dealt with corneal disorders, orbital disorders and neuro-ophthalmology. Since July 2000, he has been working under the guidance of Dr. Karel and has specialized in posterior segment disorders. He is extremely knowledgeable in up-to-date examination methods and performs laser treatment of the retina. He has made many contributions at scientific ophthalmologic meetings both in the Czech Republic and abroad. He specializes in plastic surgery. He is a member of the Czech Ophthalmological Society, the Czech Vitreoretinal Society, and the European Society of Retina Specialists. He defended his PhD thesis entitled "OCT in Age-Related Macular Degeneration" in 2001.

- fabrication of glasses in the optician's shop located in the ground floor of the building
