Procedure
Arthroscopy of Achilles tendonArthroscopic surgery of Achilles tendon is mostly performed for removal of inflammatory swelling above the attachment of the tendon on the calcaneus. The swelling causes pain when touching and walking. Arthroscopy can be used even by rupture or partial rupture of the tendon, although classic surgery usually prevails.
